JAMMU, Sept 18: Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Kumar Sabha (Youth Wing) President Pawan Chib and youth volunteers are going to sit on a hunger strike on September 21 at Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue near Tawi bridge, Jammu. Pawan Chib said that as 23rd September is the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, Youth of Rajput Samaj are sitting on a hunger strike to appeal to the Central Government and Jammu and Kashmir UT administration to declare holiday for J&K UT on the eve of Maharaja's birthday. Further, Chib stated that on numerous occasions the government has promised to do the same but has not been able to fulfill the promise made to the people of Jammu, resulting in hurting the sentiments of people of Jammu on various occasions.
He has appealed to the people of Jammu to show their presence in hunger strike for moral support while maintaining social distance and has asked the people of Jammu to take it as the beginning of the agitation.
