Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 18: Over one dozen employees have continued to enjoy attachments at the office of Director School Education Jammu, despite administrative department cancelling all the attachments.
According to sources, the administrative wing of School Education Department had cancelled the attachment of all the teaching fraternity members including teachers, masters, lecturers, lab assistants, Rehbar-e-Talim teachers beside others.
After cancelation of all these attachments, the administrative wing had directed the Directorate of School Education to repatriate all those attached teaching fraternity back to their original places of postings.
But if sources are to be believed only few of them had returned back to their previous places of postings while more than one dozen teachers, masters or lecturers have still been enjoying attachments, despite cancellation of their attachment orders. Sources said that these teaching fraternity members have made Directorate office as their safe haven and have put in every effort to retain their postings at the DSE offices or Chief Education Office or DIET office or other offices in Jammu city. “Many attached teaching fraternity members are closely associated with some of the organizations of the employees.
These organizations also never raise voice against these attached employees as they helped these organizations to manage various works”, sources said.
Sources further informed that some of the attached employees have been enjoying attachments for a long time and have not taken classes for over one decade. “They are engaged for teaching purposes but they prefer to do non-teaching jobs and to remain attached at city offices these influential teaching fraternity members adopt various tactics”, sources said, adding that the Lieutenant Governor led administration should initiate an enquiry about the stay of these teaching fraternity members and took action against those, who have not taught for the past many years.
Despite repeated attempts Director School Education Jammu couldn’t be contacted as she didn’t pick up the phone.
