JKTF holds meeting, discusses several issues of teaching fraternity

JAMMU, Sept 18: A virtual meeting was held today by Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria State Chairman, organised by Jamayat Ali Agah State Co-ordinator JKTF, which was attended by the members including the State Body, Provincial Body, District Bodies & the Zonal Body members of Jammu Province.
In the meeting, the threadbare discussions were held on several burning issues of the teaching fraternity including clear-cut guidelines from the School Education Department regarding the IMPACT training, long pending demand for the removal of the pay anomaly of the Master Grade, from pre-revised Pay Scale 6500-10500 to 7450-11500 in 5th Pay Commission, from Grade Pay 4280 to 4800 in 6th Pay Commission & from Level L-6 to L-7 in 7th Pay Commission remains unresolved by the Govt despite the fact that the same was accepted & agreed by the Govt after reaching the written agreement with the JKTF, revision of Pay Scales of Teachers at par with the Pay Scales of the other UTs of the country, transfers of the teachers, masters and lecturers in the Winter Zone be made at the earliest, filling up of all the vacant posts of Principals, ZEOs, Headmasters, Lecturers, Masters & the Teachers at the priority basis, regularization of all the Incharge cadres in the School Education Department, sanctioning of posts of Ministerial staff and the posting thereof in the hanging zones, issue of the DPC of different cadres, especially Master Grade, Lab Assistants, Teachers & Lecturers in different streams have not been materialized since a long period, which should be held at the earliest to remove the stagnation from the School Education Department & to provide the staff in the Schools, redressal of the issue of regularization of the Contingency Paid Workers which is hanging since long besides raising several other issues.
