JAMMU, Sept 18: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor JMC inaugurates newly installed RO water cooler in Choughan Salathia Park in ward no. 01.
During the inauguration, Gopal Sanotra Add. Mandal Secretary, Smt. Shubh Lata Sharma Jammu District General Secretary Mahila Morcha, Sunita Wazir Jammu District Mahila Morcha Vice President, Raman Abrol, Madhav Singh Thakur, Sudershan Ji and other prominent residents of the ward also accompanied the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor.
“Jal hai to Jeevan hai”, taking inspiration from this and keeping inview the welfare of the general public, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor JMC got installed a Reverse Osmosis (RO) based Water Cooler just near the exit gate of the Choughan Salathia Park to make the clean drinking water available to all. The water cooler got installed with an estimated cost of 75 thousand including the costs of Water Cooler, RO water purifier, civil work and other attachments.
Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Purnima Sharma said that contaminated drinking water is a source of spreading diseases thereby causing ill-health. I and JMC took this proactive step to provide pure and filtered drinking water available to everyone who will visit the park. Earlier there was no drinking water source for the people and children visiting the park. At the end, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor while addressing the general public appealed not to wander out of there houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are still on the rise and only to go out when it’s important and while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
