Muster courage and speak up
9/19/2020 12:22:20 AM
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders not raising the issue of oxygen plants not being upto the mark in Jammu hospitals has once again disappointed the Jammuties.
One question which everyone is asking, why are BJP leaders silent over this grave issue that too in COVID-19 times? Is it that people handling the hospitals are their own men? Or is it that they want to keep them in their good books, so that whenever they want they can take favours from them?
Someone needs to remind these BJP leaders that people of Jammu region went out of way to support them with a hope that they will become their voice. But these leaders have disappointed one and all.
The issue of oxygen plants in Jammu hospitals not being upto the mark has been hogging the headlines for the past many days. Not a single BJP leader has come out with a statement demanding that the issue should be resolved forthwith.
Everyone is aware of the fact that the COVID-19 cases in Jammu are increasing at a rapid pace and everyday number of patients are increasing.
Asymptomatic patients are being put under home quarantine but the symptomatic patients have to be treated in the hospitals. They need ventilators and other medical aid.
The high end ventilators which have been procured by the government hospitals in Jammu need oxygen whose saturation is about 97% to 98%. People are worried about how these ill equipped hospitals will cater to the rush which is increasing with each passing day. But BJP leaders seem least bothered as they know it very well that they and their family members will get the VIP treatment if they fall sick.
It’s not for the first time that BJP leaders have maintained silence over any crucial issue. It has been more than a year since the 4G internet services were snapped in Jammu region. The BJP leaders have not uttered a word.
They have been unable to muster courage and tell their own government at the Centre that people of Jammu are nationalists and they have always stood with the country like a rock.
By remaining silent on crucial issues they have proved it beyond doubt that they don’t have any locus-standi of their own. They are only interested in one thing and i.e. power. They don’t want to do anything which can be held against them.
