DC Rajouri orders retrieval, demarcation of 2880 Kanal encroached Departmental land

RAJOURI, Jan 27: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Wednesday ordered retrieval and demarcation of 2880 Kanal encroached land of Animal and Sheep Husbandry department here at Lam area of Nowshera, during a spot visit to the site. The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kohli; Director Animal Husbandry Department, Vivek Sharma; Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sambyal and Tehsildar Qila Darhal,Vijay Kumar Sharma. Besides the field functionaries of the concerned department were also present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner passed on the spot directions to the revenue officer to carry out the demarcation of the land in presence of the officers and officials of the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department. The concerned officers of the Public Works Department were directed to erect firm cemented pillars around the demarcated site for the protection of the land.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers and officials of the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department to keep a close liaison with the Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera during the demarcation of the land. To avoid any disruption in the demarcation process, the Senior Superintendent of Police has been asked to provide adequate security arrangements at the site. The Deputy Commissioner also asked for close monitoring of the progress regarding the construction of the firm cemented pillars on a daily basis to ensure the time bound completion of the work. As per the officials, the huge chunk of farmland of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments was partially encroached by the local people and taking cognizance of the matter the DC visited the area with a team of officers and resolved the issue.
