1/27/2021 11:24:37 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 25, Serious doubts persist over non issuance of Ayushman I D cards in J&K.
Sources said on 26.12.2020 the above scheme was inaugurated / launched by the Prime Minister of India for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir for free treatment up to 5 lakh rupees in 218 Hospitals of J& K and 24000 Hospitals including both Gov't and private, all over India.
For this purpose e- cards/ Golden Cards Issued by Ayushmann Bharat have to be produced before Medical authority for getting treatment but it is strange and shocking that till date e- cards / Golden cards have not been sent to the people despite of the fact such exercise have been made in the past before its inauguration.
People of J& K in general ,Senior Citizens /retired/ old age persons in particular are waiting for cards for which an amount of Rs 100/- 50/- as per choice of concerned preparing agencies have been collected on account of each card.
However an amount of Rs 30/- for plain cards and 60/- for coloured cards have been recovered by the employees deputed for this purpose for preparation of Ayushmann Cards on 20 centers set up by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants on 08.10.2020 sources said.
The Ayushmann cards haven't been received by the residents of J&K till date. On enquiries from CSC ,they ask for a message of Ayushmann Bharat which the people have not received.
Besides the phone numbers mentioned in the Advertisement of Government for enquiries such as, 1800233554 /14555 are not in use which is also a matter of concern, sources added.
The public in general have been put in to trouble by the authorities and seems to be big joke with the public of J&K.
When cards have neither been prepared nor received / issued. What was the purpose of its inauguration, launching by the Prime Minister when people are not having such cards.
In this connection J&K State Pensioners and Senior Citizens Welfare Society President Mir Gh Rasool Butvani, Sh D. N. Sadhu State Secretary and other members appeal to LG Manoj Sinha G for issuing directions to the concerned for immediate issuance of Ayushmann Cards to the people of J& K so that old age persons, retired pensioners, Senior Citizens and other persons having serious ailments can get the benefits of this Ayushmann Bharat Scheme launched by the Prime Minister.
