JTC, SKF demand enhancement in monthly cash relief for migrants
4/25/2021 10:42:03 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Apr 25: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held in Jagti township under the leadership of its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the members, Shadi Lal Pandita said that the government should increase the monthly cash relief of migrant relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 as soon as possible because the relief holders are not able to make both ends meet in today's inflation with this small amount of money.
Pandita said the government had given the remaining 1997 package post for migrant unemployed youth for government jobs for which examinations would also be held but the unemployed youth of the families who have not been given any government job till date have been ignored again.
He urged upon the government to first give a job in the houses where no unemployed youth has got a job till date.
He said that the government should meet our demands immediately. Pandita said we have not ended the protest sit-in which lasted for 200 consecutive days but it has only been postponed because of Covid-19.
Pandita said if the government does not meet our demands, we will be forced to protest again. Other members who attended the meeting included Kashi Nath Bhat, Ravinder Koul, Rakesh Ambardar, Sanjoo Bhat, Rakesh Tickoo, Charanjeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Ramesh Suri, Mohan Krishan, J L Bhat, M L Razdan, S L Kar, Gh M Khan, Ab Gafar Dar and others.
