| JMC Mayor, Deputy Mayor JMC kick start developmental work in Ward No 21 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor JMC Purnima Sharma along with Chairmans JMC Yashpal Sharma and Kuldeep Singh and in the presence of Bhanu Mahajan Corporator ward 21 kick started the developmental work of construction of slab for covering of nallah in ward no. 21.
The length of the slab to be constructed for covering the nallah is 430 ft. with an estimated cost of 90 lakhs. Also the amount being used is from My Town My Pride.
Speaking on the occasion Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta Hon'ble Mayor said that today we are starting the work of covering of nallah by constructing a slab over it which is to be done under My Town My Pride. This work is mainly being executed to prevent accidents and congestion on the road near the Rehri zone defined by JMC and also to provide a hygienic environment there.
He further said that after the construction of slab over the nallah the rehri's will be shifted further back over the nallah and as a result there will be more space on the road which will avoid traffic congestion and accidents.
Mayor JMC further said that the time limit for this work to be completed is 90 days and he has directed the concerned to make sure its completed within the time limit. Er. Ashwani Executive Engineer JMC along with his team of AEE and JE was also present. In the end, Mayor appealed the general public not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are on the rise again and only to go out when it's important and while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
