2 ACDs among 13 officers suspended

Anantnag, June 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday placed thirteen officers, including two Assitsant Commissioners Development (ACDs) and eight Junior Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) Officers, under suspension for unauthorized withdrawal of funds.
An order related to suspension of officers was issued by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj on Friday evening.
The order issued by Principal Secretary to the Government Bipul Pathak (IAS) says that the officers withdrew funds from e-FMS accounts of Noorkhah, Parenpillan, Singhpora, Sopore, Uri and Wagoora blocks of Baramullah district and Sagam, Pahalgam, Bijbehara, Breng, Larnoo and Verinag blocks of Anantnag district.
The officers who have been placed under suspension and attached with the office of Directorate of Rural Development Department Kashmir include Junaid Amin Bhat (Jr KAS) BDO (Probationary) Shangus holding the additional charge of block Sagam of Anantnag, Sakeeb Arsallan (Jr KAS) BDO (Probationary) Pahalgam, Talat Mahmood Wani (Jr KAS) BDO Bijbehara, Muzaffer Wani (Jr KAS) BDO Breng holding additional charge of Block Larnoo of Anantnag, Umar Bashir (Jr KAS) BDO (Probationary) Verinag, Nasir Ahmad I/C BDO Noorkhah, Hilal Ahmad Bhat (Jr KAS) BDO Parenpillan, Sheeba Inayat (Jr KAS) BDO Singhpora, Fahmeeda Banoo I/C BDO Sopore, Aarif Shah (Jr KAS) BDO (Probationary) Uri and Abdul Rashid Ghar I/C BDO Wagoora of Baramullah district.

The officers have been served a copy of this suspension order and asked to comply immediately.

In the meantime, Director Rural Development Department Kashmir has been directed to make suitable alternative arrangements to look after the charge of these blocks.
Meanwhile, the J&K Govt also placed Assistant Commissioners Development Anantnag and Barmulla under suspension for failing to stop BDOs from making excess payments and for not intimating the government on time.
Director Rural Development Department has been made enquiry officer and directed to probe the matter.
