| DFO Reasi bypasses seniors, effects transfers of 40 forest guards | | | Ajay Sharma

Reasi, June 11: The Division Forest Officer (DFO) Reasi has allegedly bypassed her senior officials in effecting transfers of around forty forest guards in violation of transfer policy.
Interestingly, when the Deputy Commissioner Reasi took note of the issue and sought information about it from DFO, she replied by stating that she had got permission from her seniors.
The letter No. DFO/RFD/902-04 dated 4-6-2021, which was sent to Deputy Commissioner Reasi was mentioned that all required permissions were taken from the seniors for effecting transfers from one station to other but sources informed that no such permission was sought.
The issue came into light when news regarding violation of transfer policy was published on June 3 by Early Times and the next day the Deputy Commissioner Reasi sought explanation from the DFO, wherein she said that she had discussed it with seniors.
Sources said that even the permission from the concerned Conservator of Forest was not sought. When Early Times contacted the Conservator, he said that he doesn’t want to comment on it. |
