| Young Warriors of GDC Vijaypur create COVID-19 awareness through e-posters | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: The Young Warriors of NSS Unit “Khidmat” of GDC Vijaypur created a Digital Social Awareness Campaign to combat COVID-19.
The basic purpose of the campaign was to aware general masses by generating awareness about COVID-19 using e-posters.
The students shared e-posters submitting their own version of how to overcome the pandemic using handmade drawings, paintings digital graphics etc. with graphical cues to highlight the severity of the pandemic and to promote prevention guidelines provided by the Centers for Diseases Control and Preventions.
Some Young warriors created posters in photoshop using compositional principles of asymmetry, tension, contrast and figure-ground with varied and unique approach of posters messages exhibiting their potential, hidden talent, creativity and encouraging a positive educational opportunity. They shared their thoughts and Know-how through different modes of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Whatsapp to enlighten and motivate the masses to tackle the pandemic situation which has arisen due to COVID-19 in the country and also to dispel the myths, rumours, half-truths and misinformation percolating in the society and mind sets of the common people which has added to the confusion and anxiety of an already pressurized population struggling to cope with COVID-19 and its aftermath.
The whole programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. She appreciated the Young Warriors of the college for their active participation and yoeman’s service to the society. “Everybody goes through difficult times, but it is those who push through difficult times will eventually become successful in life. Don’t give up because this too shall pass,” she said .The entire programme was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO). |
