| Ghalib remembered on 213th birth anniversary | | |

KISHTWAR, Dec 28: As a part of ongoing activities under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Department of Persian GDC Chatroo organized an extension lecture on "Ghalib Ki Farsi Aur Urdu Shayri Ke Mushtarik Mouzu'aat" to celebrate 224th birth anniversary of Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib. The program was organized under the patronage of Dr. Shafqat Hussain Rafiqui, Principal of the college and under the supervision of Dr. Ashaq Hussain. The main resource person of the day was Prof (Dr) Jahangir Iqball, Senior Assistant Professor Department of Persian, University of Kashmir, who in his address thoroughly discussed the life sketch of Ghalib, his poetry in Persian and Urdu with a detailed deliberation upon the entire poetic thoughts of Ghalib. Around eighty to ninety students and faculty of different colleges attended the lecture. Earlier the programme started with welcome address by Dr. Mudassir Nazar, the convener of the program.
