VC DDC Udhampur inaugurates developmental projects

UDHAMPUR, Dec 28: Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur inaugurated several developmental projects in Majalta and Khoon area. She also kick started work on ONGC road at Bharnara. She was received amongst a thumping welcome by locals for getting this road enlisted under District Plan road. The road has been earmarked around Rs 10.00 lakh. She inaugurated another road from GHSS Khoon to Dhar road via Masjid. This year district capex has a provision of Rs 04.00 lakh for it. The said road provides connectivity to SC/ST habitations of the area. She called for qualitative development and time bound completion of projects. She further said that with the onset of a people friendly government in J&K on 5th of Aug, 2019 a new horizon has been opened. The system is all set for all-round development of the area. She further said that Sloh Bridge to Thanda Pani, Manwal to Kaley, Bavour to Samanu/Kathel l, Ralta to Tajoor roads have been sanctioned under NABARD and work shall start very soon on the said roads. She also said that work on Chowki to Katwalt road shall start under PMGSY while fulfilling ages-old demand of the area. She called for immediate provision of electricity to such houses which have been provided connections under SAUBHAGYA. These households are getting electricity bills every month but they are still living in dark, she said. She was accompanied by local Sarpanches, Panches and PRIs of the area. Prominent speakers were Romesh Gupta Sarpanch, Mohan Lal Sarpanch, Rameshwar Sharma, Rattan Singh, Gurdev, and other respected people of the area.
