Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 11: Secretary Central Zone (Jammu, Kathua & Samba), J&K National Conference, Dr. Vikas Sharma organized a free mask and hand sanitizer distribution camp near Jammu University main gate, here today.
Former minister and senior NC leader, Ajay Sadhotra and another NC leader Ankush Abrol were the chief guest and guest of honor respectively.
On the occasion, people were distributed masks and hand sanitizers free of cost so that they could prevent themselves from deadly Coronavirus and its variants. People were also appealed to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) to prevent spread of this deadly virus. Later, several media persons were honored by the invited leaders for their exemplary work in the times of ongoing pandemic.
"Media personnel being the frontline workers are always prone to catching the infection but despite of that they perform their duty with utmost seniority to spread awareness amongst the masses," expressed Ajay Sadhotra while lauding their role in fight against Covid-19.
He urged the UT administration to make available ventilator and medical oxygen facility in all the Panchayats as the spread of infection is likely to be large in rural belts as these areas are least equipped with health facilities and more prone to this health emergency. He heaped praise on Dr. Vikas Sharma for organizing this much needed activity. He said, "People have started undermining deadly Covid-19 but situation is alarming. And there is need to re-sensitize the masses and made them aware that only social distancing and cleanliness is the cure of this virus. The step taken by the young leader is a step in this direction." Ankush Abrol also lauded the efforts of young NC leader and asked the public to follow the Covid related guidelines for the well being of their near and dear.
