DC Rajouri flags off CAB awareness van
Seeks people’s cooperation to contain Covid 3rd wave

RAJOURI, Jan 11: To raise awareness among masses about COVID Appropriate Behavior and other SOPs to contain the COVID-19 third wave, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today flagged off an awareness van here from the DC office complex. The awareness campaign has been organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Rajouri Centre as a part of IEC activities for generating public awareness on Covid Appropriate Behaviour amid the impending threat of third wave.
ADC, Sachin Dev Singh and DIO Narinder Kumar were also present at the flag off event. Talking to the media persons, the Deputy Commissioner said that the mobile van would move across all subdivisions of the district to educate masses about the significance of strict adherence to CAB and implications in case of its violation.
He added that it will also motivate the public to take the Covid vaccine as vaccination is the ultimate solution to stay safe from the infection.
While briefing about various activities including aggressive testing, intensive vaccination besides other measures being put in place for the efficient containment and management of COVID19 in the district, the DC said that the wide-ranging containment measures by the District Administration also require the active cooperation of the public. He called upon the public to take the Covid vaccine.
He appealed to people of the Rajouri district to take all preventive measures against Covid-19 including wearing masks, following hand hygiene and maintaining social distance.
He added that the District Administration Rajouri has achieved the target of 100 percent vaccination of the adult population in the border district and effective measures are being taken to inoculate the entire population in the 15-18 age-group. He also appealed to the parents to get their children vaccinated at the earliest.
