DDC Rajouri reviews progress on major road projects

RAJOURI, Jan 11: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress on major roads projects being executed by the different executing agencies in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; ACR, Tahir Mustafa Malik; Commander RK Garg 13 BRTF, ADEO, Himanshu Sharma, OC 57 RCC, Maj Vivekanand and officer from 58 RCC.
During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed stock of the physical and financial progress on NH 144 A, Rajouri Thanamandi Road, Rajouri Kandi Budhal Road and Budhal Mahore Gool Road. Issues impeding the execution of developmental projects were also discussed threadbare in the meeting.
Discussing the issue of compensation for NH144 A, the DDC asked the AC Defence to organise special camps in the coming days for the payment of compensation.
Taking review of Rajouri Thanamandi Road, he directed the concerned officer from BRO to start peg marking at the earliest. Issues of alignment of the road were also discussed in detail for which the DDC directed SDM Thanamandi to assist the BRO and AC Defence in the survey.
Taking stock of the progress on Rajouri Kandi Budhal Road, the meeting was informed that double laning of the road is complete and mutation of a few villages is pending. The DDC asked for carrying out joint verification besides issuing mutation.
While reviewing the progress on Budhal Mahore Gool Road, it was apprised that land along 107 villages is to be acquired and the indent stands submitted. It was further apprised that the assessment of structures, fruit bearing and non fruit bearing trees is also pending. The DDC directed for carrying out joint verification wherever required. He also directed them to undertake regular field visits to monitor the progress on the projects.
The DDC also asked them to maintain interdepartmental coordination to resolve the issues impeding the execution of the projects so that the developmental bottlenecks can be resolved timely for the larger public interest.
