Court rejects bail of fraudster who duped people on pretext of providing job

JAMMU, Jan 27: Railway Magistrate Jammu R K Lalhal has rejected the bail application of Sanjeev Kumar Manotra who duped money from innocent people on the pretext of providing job.
The police case said that police received application in which Sajal Singh Salathia S/o Mohan Singh R/o Gurah Slathia Samba and his friend Rakesh Randhawa S/o Roshanlal R/o Vijaypur Randhawa colony and gave four lakhs to Mandep Singh @ Harmeet S/o Harpal Singh R/o Devar Tral, Kashmir for providing them job of driver in NHPC Office Jammu. They had given Rs 3, 90,000 on 2nd of June in case at Jewel Jammu and also transferred Rs 10,000 in bank account provided by him.
Mandeep assured them to provide them job and when they both requested to return their hard money back, he refuses to provide money by them. As per the contents of the application offence u/s 420 IPC was made out and case FIR No. 190/2021 u/s 420 IPC stands registered in this Police Station and investigation of the case is entrusted to PSI Amreek Singh No. 196410 EXJ of this Police Station.
Railway Magistrate observed that in the entirety of facts and circumstances and considering the socio-economic nature, gravity and heinous manner in which the offence has been alleged to be committed and other facts and circumstances, law laid down supra, stage of investigation, interest of society. This court is not inclined to grant bail. In case bail is granted people will lose faith in the judicial system.
