| GDC Kalakote organizes webinar on 'awareness of HIV/AIDS' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 31: Government Degree College Kalakote in collaboration with NSS unit organized a webinar on the "awareness of HIV/AIDS" by Red Ribbon Club under the guidance of Dr. Romesh Gupta, Principal GDC Kalakote, in which number of students joined the webinar and took participation. The event was commenced with a formal speech by member of Red Ribbon club Dr. Tariq Rashid Wani where he highlighted that HIV affects not only the health of individual but also impacts household communities and economic growth of the nation. He also emphasized that the people should unite in the fight against HIV and shows their support to people living with HIV.
Dr. Gupta shared his valuable views on prevention of HIV. He informed students about the major preventive measures to be taken in order to stay safe and prevent one from getting infected. He further added that one should avoid sharing contaminated needles and syringes, and get tested if one thinks one might be at risk. |
