Kishtwar: Attached TSO becomes incharge again

Kishtwar, Feb 4: Known for over a dozen scandals in last over one decade, former Tehsil Supply Officer Kishtwar who was allegedly involved in various scandals again managed to get his posting in Kishtwar District, this time as TSO Mughalmaidan.
An order No. PS/Adv/F/W/2022/75 dated 01.02.2022 states: “Keeping in view of the non utilization of services of Sh. Saroop Chand, Senior Assistant (OPG) presently attached in the office of Assistant Director, FCS&CA Department, Doda and acute shortage of TSOs (presently 39% working strength), timely distribution of the Ration under various schemes like PMGKAY, NFSA, JKFES etc and in the interest of Administration, it is hereby ordered that, Sh. Saroop Chand, Senior Assistant (OPG) presently attached in the office of Assistant Director, FCS&CA Department, Doda shall temporarily look after the work of Tehsil Supply Officer, Mughal Maidan relieving Sh. Suresh Kumar, I/c TSO.
Kishtwar of the additional charge of TSO Mughal Maidan till permanent arrangement is made by the Competent Authority” read the order issued by Director FCS&CA Jammu.
The tainted TSO has been directed to take over the new assignment immediately after proper handing over / taking over the complete charge / record.
It is pertinent to mention that known for several scandals in past, Kishtwar District in the year 2017 witnessed ration scandal worth lakhs of rupees as the BPL ration quota along with AAY ration quota meant for the people living in Kishtwar town and its peripheries areas goes missing in a dramatic way and is believe to be sold to private dealers as a result of which the inhabitants of these areas were left high and dry.
