| Chairperson DDC Ramban calls on Lt Governor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5: Shamshad Shan, Chairperson District Development Council Ramban today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan. The DDC Chairperson accompanied by DDC members, Ms Gulshan Parveen and Sh Bashir Ahmad Runyal, submitted memoranda to the Lt Governor which included several issues and demands regarding the developmental needs and welfare of the people of Ramban.
The demands included construction of Sports Stadium in the hilly area of Lamber Banihal and Sangaldan; employing locals in the projects of railway construction and national highways; restoration of Chachawah-Ind water supply scheme; construction of bridge over Chappran Nallah at Haroge, besides creation of Tourism Development Authority for promoting tourism in Ramban, augmentation of power supply and other demands.
The Lt Governor while discussing the issues and demands presented by the Chairperson and members of DDC Ramban assured them of appropriate action by the concerned quarters of the line departments, for the redressal of genuine issues on merit.
The Lt Governor urged the PRI representatives to continue their endeavours for promoting public welfare issues and addressing the needs of people with active involvement in the decision-making process at the grass root level. |
