| GDC Kathua organizes webinar on "Strategies to build a Successful Career" | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Feb 5: Career Counseling and Placement Cell of Government Degree College Kathua organized interactive webinar on "Strategies to build a Successful Career". Dr. M S Pathania, Principal Government Degree College Kathua was the chief guest while Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma, officiating Principal GDC Kathua was the guest of honour.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Senior Assistant Professor and in-charge Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu was the resource person. Prof. Rakesh Singh, Convener, Career Counseling and Placement Cell, GDC Kathua highlighted the importance of such programmes for the students. He motivated students to join such programmes in future also as such lectures can give direction to their career and can help them to decide about their future.
Dr. Pathania in his address appreciated the role of career counseling and placement cell of college in organizing such type of motivational programmes for the betterment of students. He deliberated on the employment opportunities available to students and motivated students to become job creator instead of job seekers.
Prof. Sharma emphasized on students to remain aware as the world is fast changing. She stressed on students to start their own ventures by taking benefit of various schemes like Start Up initiative of Government of India. Dr. Sourabh presented innumerable strategies to build a successful career. He brought up the argument of rising need of entrepreneurs in present scenario. Emphasizing on the need of action in planning a successful career, he suggested the students to bring forward innovative ideas.
