JAMMU, Feb 5: Lagan Society for Art and Culture organized 3rd Basant Utsav, a Bhajan Sandhya in connection with Basant Panchami today at JK Convent, Subash Nagar, Jammu. The Bhajan Sandhya was inaugurated with the lightning of traditional lamp by the dignitaries followed by welcome address by vice president of the Society Sonia Verma. Later the function was started with Saraswati Vandana by the students of the institution. Various bhajans were performed by the talented students of Lagan Society for Art and Culture which was highly appreciated by the audience as well as the guests of the function. Advocate Sandeep Gupta (Patron of the Society) appreciated the efforts of the Society and also said these types of functions helps to encourage the youngsters and also helps to provide rich cultural heritage of the region. The students who performed in the function were Jyotsna Dogra, Lagan Verma, Gourav Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Aqib, Vishal Sharma, and Kapil Mehra was on Tabla, Sumit Sharma was on Guitar while Rajesh Verma was on Harmonium. The proceedings of the function were anchored by Rohit Bains. President of the Society, Rajesh Verma presented the vote of thanks. |
