DDC Rajouri reviews implementation of Mission Youth, other SE schemes
Asks for motivating youth to avail benefits of Self-employment schemes

RAJOURI, Feb 5: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the implementation of the Mission Youth and other self-employment generation schemes.
Officers present in the meeting included CPO, Mohd Khurshid, ACD, Sushil Khajuria, DSHO, Dr Sarfraz Naseem choudhary; AD Handicrafts, Qadeer Charak; AD Employment, Rekha Bali; LDM, Ashwani Sharma; and officers from DIC, KVIB, Animal husbandry and SC.ST/OBC corporation attended the meeting.
The meeting held a detailed discussion concerning progress (physical and financial) achieved under various employment generation schemes and those being implemented in the district under Mission Youth. The DDC said that initiatives like Mission Youth and other self-employment generation schemes have been launched by the Government for the welfare of the youth. He said the need of the hour is to bring more educated and unemployed youth under the ambit of different Government schemes.
While reviewing the progress made under self-employment generation schemes and the schemes of Mission Youth, the DDC gave directions for fast-tracking the process of grant of benefits .
The stakeholder departments were directed to make sincere efforts to remove hindrances faced by the youth in availing benefits under the Mission Youth. He asked the officers to guide them wherever required.
For effective implementation of the government schemes at the grassroots level, the DDC directed the departments to organize camps across the district.
The Assistant Director of Employment was directed to organize special camps for the registration of unemployed youth in the district.
It was also decided in the meeting that Assistant Director employment will submit a prospective plan for providing self-employment to 1560 unemployed youths (05 persons per panchayat) in the district in coordination with different departments.
