agencies MUMBAI, Feb 23: Asset-backed digital lending platform Rupeek has launched a gold-powered card to provide easy access to credit against gold, the company announced on Wednesday. Built on Rupeek's experience and expertise in the gold handling space, this card provides consumers affordable and more flexible repayment options, based on low risk of gold underwriting, the company said in a statement issued here. "The card form factor enables gold monetisation with use-cases otherwise unheard from a Gold-powered credit product," it said adding that the card comes with a credit limit offered up to Rs 50 lakh. Currently, this card has gone live in 14 cities namely, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Rajkot, Vadodara, Vijayawada, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, and Surat. Furthermore, plans are underway to add another 16 cities in the next quarter to fulfil the pent-up demand seen for such gold-powered cards, it said.
