| Interior city roads of Srinagar in dilapidated condition,authorities unmoved | | |  S K KAW

Jammu, Feb 23:Residents of interior city of Srinagar are up in arms against the district administration for their utmost failure to repair dilapidated roads and streets leading to prominent places including world famous Dal lake besides the total collapse of drainage system in most of the interior areas.
Expressing their resentment the senior residents of Shaher e Khaas alleged that the concerned authorities seems to be unmoved as nobody from the administration has even paid a single visit to these areas to take the stock of the peoples problems despite the matter has been brought into their notice time and time again.
The main road leading to world famous Dal lake and the internal roads were in bad shape while pot-holes and big ditches have developed over these roads which causes inconvenience to a large extent to locals and tourists as well who prefer walking across the old and new city towns and markets.
During inclement weather many people met with accidents due to slippery road conditions in the absence of tiles and blacktopping over them,they further added.
The total drainage system in the most of the interior city areas of Srinagar is a failure.
All the main drains are choked and the house hold wastes further intesify the problem they said, adding that we want to appeal once again the concerned agencies that they should take the stock of the grave situation through which the residents of interior city areas of Srinagar and its adjoining areas too were going through presently, they added.
