Azad’s ‘silent’ visit raises many eyebrows!
2/25/2022 12:07:44 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 24: Unlike his previous visit in November and December 2021, former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad this time visited Jammu very silently and avoided giving any political statements during his stay in Jammu.
Not only his detractors in the Congress party are surprised over his ‘guarded silence’, his loyalists in the party are also in confusion about the complete ‘silent visit of their leader this time.
On February 19, Azad arrived in Jammu for a four-day visit. During his stay at Jammu, Azad met with some leaders, especially his loyalists but he avoided speaking on any political issue.
His loyalists namely former ministers Jugal Kishore Sharma, Viqar Rasool Wani, Manohar Lal Sharma, and others received him at the airport there was no political activity during his stay at Jammu.
Azad attended the wedding ceremony of a senior party leader party Balwan Singh’s son in which politicians from all political parties were present.
During his earlier visit in November and December 2021, Azad addressed a series of public meetings in every nook and corner of Jammu province to mobilize his supporters. He addressed some meetings in Kashmir Valley to show this strength to Congress leadership.
Although Azad has yet not opened his cards, he had given a very important statement while addressing a rally at Doda on December 22, 2021.
“You have seen governments of all political parties be it NC, PDP, BJP, or Congress but you are still facing hardship”, he told the gathering. This statement is significant as Azad has blamed all political parties for the woes of people.
As reported earlier, the incumbent Congress leadership headed by Ghulam Ahmed Mir is already worried after Azad received an encouraging response during his tour in both the Jammu region and Kashmir Valley respectively.
