Medical employees hold protest; demand early convening of DPC meeting | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: The medical employees under the banner of Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation held a protest against the Jammu & Kashmir administration for its failure to convene the departmental promotion committee (DPC) meeting on regular basis. The protesting employees said that the administration ought to have carried out DPC meeting after every six months adding that no such meeting has taken place in the past four years. They said that in August last year the administration has asked them for 15 days time frame before convening the DPC meeting. The protesters said that the administration should not take them lightly and accede to their demands failing which the agitation would be intensified. They asked the administration to convene the DPC at the earliest so that the genuine concerns of employees are addressed and they get promoted. |
