| Reasi Police books notorious drug peddler under PSA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: Police in Reasi have booked a notorious drug peddler of Reasi under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu. Talib Hussain Reasi was found involved in drug peddling case FIR no 41/2020 US 8/22 NDPS Act, FIR no. 60/2021 US 8/21/22 NDPS Act and FIR no 142/2021 US 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of Police station Reasi.
Besides drug peddling cases Talib was also found involved case FIR no 33/2019 US 435/457 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act, and case FIR no 78/2022 US 279/304 A IPC of Police Station Reasi. To contain his activities he was also booked under preventive sections 110 CrPC and 36 Police Act in 2021. However in view of his continuous involvement in drug peddling and criminal cases and to save young generations it was necessary to book him under stringent law.
Today by the order of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Talib was arrested and lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu under Public Safety Act. SSP Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse from the society and to save youth of Reasi from the menace of drug abuse. |
