| JMC Mayor kick-starts development works in various wards | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC today kick started the construction work in lane 10 along with drains at Shiv Nagar area Jammu of ward 33. The Mayor said that it was the long pending demand of the inhabitants of the locality as they were facing great hardships while passing through the lane which has been got damaged since long and the development work of which has been started today by JMC with an allotted amount of Rs 5.74 lakh only.
The Mayor assured the locals that the required estimates of the remaining left over lanes & drains have already been framed by the concerned works division and the execution work will be started within a period of two months. He announced that he is committed to make ward 33 really a model ward by providing all types of basic amenities to the inhabitants irrespective of any caste, creed or religion.
The Mayor said that LED street lights have been installed in almost all the localities of the ward as per the demands of the locals and if required more lights will be made available as soon as possible. He directed the concerned engineers as well as contractor to complete this development work started today by applying best quality construction materials for its long durability and get it completed within a stipulated time period. |
