JAMMU, Apr 19: The BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to make India malnutrition free through its flagship scheme Poshan Abhiyaan.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta during a programme organised by BJP Mahila Morcha to celebrate Poshan Abhiyaan here at party headquarters on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Indu Goswami, BJP Mahila Morcha National General Secretary was the Chief Guest while State President BJP Mahila Morcha, Sanjita Dogra presided over the programme.
Kavinder said that Poshan Abhiyaan is BJP Government’s flagship scheme to improve the nutritional outcomes of adolescents, children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
It is pertinent to mention that as a part of Samajik Nyay Pakhwada, BJP Mahila Morcha is organising nationwide Poshan Abhiyaan aiming at making India malnutrition free by 2022.
Kavinder said that people’s involvement is vital for the success of all the schemes conceived and crafted by Modi Government.
He urged the people to remain on forefront for ensuring that all the schemes launched under the patronship of PM Modi can prove helpful in giving succor to the people who were lurching for even the basic amenities during the earlier governments’ tenures.
He said that Modi government has worked on sanitation, cleanliness, nutrition, defence, terrorism, and many other issues which were never a priority under the Congress regimes in the past.
Kavinder mentioned that Central Govt has allocated crores of rupees to fight malnutrition and committed to make India malnutrition free.
During the programme, ASHA workers and Anganwari workers were also felicitated.
Indu Goswami, in her address, said that Central Government headed by PM Modi has allocated Rs 20,263 crore in its Budget for the aforesaid purpose. She reiterated that Modi Govt is resolute on eradicating malnutrition from India.
Sanjita Dogra said that Morcha will leave no stone unturned to fulfill this cause. She asked the people to avail maximum benefits of the public welfare schemes launched by Modi Government.
