Major administrative reshuffle after DDC elections | Raj Bhawan to take final call | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 15: A major reshuffle of the civil and police administration in Jammu and Kashmir government is on the cards soon after the District Development Council elections, scheduled to conclude on December 22, are over.
Official sources said the government has decided for a major reshuffle including that of commissioner secretaries, heads of the departments and the district heads in civil and police administration in particular. Some of the “non-performing officials are likely to be removed from sensitive postings.” It will be the first major transfer of officials since the day, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha took over in August 2020. Sources said around a dozen District Development Commissioners, Commissioner Secretaries, Inspector Generals of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police are likely to be transferred.
Much against the expectation of transfer of officers soon after his taking over, Sinha had preferred to personally review the performance of the officials before deciding about their next posting.

Jammu, Dec 15: Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD)—an amalgam of Kashmir centric parties—seems to be unnerved due to people coming out in large numbers to cast their votes in the ongoing District Development Council (DDC) elections.

Jammu, Dec 15: Delimitation Commission constituted by the Union Government to redraw 90 assembly segments of newly created Union Territory (UT) of J&K will accelerate its working after completion of the District Development Councils (DDCs) elections.
