DSA-JK threatens to hold massive rally on July 25 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 24 : Striking dental surgeons under the banner of Dental Surgeons Association Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK), today continued their Dharna for 24nd consecutive day and female hunger strike entering 12th day, with Dr. Kritika Rajput who was sitting on fast. The agitating dental surgeons went on roads and took to shoe polishing as a mark of showing their resentment towards the government. The doctors wearing white aprons assembled on Amphalla Chowk near Government Dental College and Hospital where they polished shoes of the people passing by. Reminding the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who had projecting a huge hoarding on Tawi Bridge wherein he claimed that "My hand holding of youth is above political motives " on the other hand CM has left the youth to struggle on roads . Dr. Pawan Singh while addressing the media said that if demands are not conceding before July 25, otherwise the agitating doctors along with the support of various other associations would take out a massive protest rally commencing from Amphalla Chowk at 10 AM against the ill fated policies of the administration. He appealed everyone to come forward and join the protest for genuine cause on humanitarian grounds. He also said that the protest would continue till the demands are met. The association further demanded complete absorption of unemployed dental youth, recruitment of dental surgeons on every year basis and establish separate directorate for dental health in the state. |
