Khour, July 25: Jammu & Kashmir Public Grievances Forum (JKPGF), a Non Government Organization, working for women empowerment and upliftment of weakers sections of the society, in collaboration with NABARD, organized a number of awareness camps on financial literacy in Koula, Kaneri, Ghar, Panjtoot, Jagoan and Sudhmahadev falling in remote and border areas of Jammu province. Led by JKPGF Executive Director Raj Kumar Dogra, the team of this NGO reaches the masses to educate them about the importance of getting closer to banks and other financial institutions to get aid in organizing programme of different modes like Nukkad Natak and local cultural displays. Raj Kumar Dogra, while briefing about the programmes being undertaken by their organization, said that sole motive of NGO is to reach under developed far-flung areas especially weaker sections to make them aware of the importance of education, preservation of rich cultural ethos and promote the same to pass them to young generations. He also lauded the cooperation of the senior officials of NABARD under whose guidance such programmes has been undertaken by JKPGF. NABARD Assistant Manager Savita Singh, presented details about the schemes like Self Help Group (SHG), Kissan Credit Card, Farmer Clubs etc. among others present on the occasion were JK Bank Manager, Gramin Bank Manager, Mohan Lal Motam, Ashok Manhas, Chaman Lal.. NABARD Chief General Manager Shankar A Pandey, General Manager Ranbir Singh, DGM SS Bhatua, DDM Udhampur Manohar Lal and other senior officials also attended these programmes. Vijay Malla, K K Joshi, Kanta Sharma, Nazuk, Roop Pathania, Raju Bajgral, Sant Dass and Zulekha Farid and others were present in these camps. |
