a major career upgrade as she has apparently
been approached by director Sujoy Ghosh for a woman-centric role in his next film.
If sources are to be believed, Sujoy has planned another woman-oriented film post the huge success of Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani.
He had apparently approached actors Kangana Ranaut and Vidya Balan respectively for the role.
However, after being rejected by both the actors, Sujoy made a beeline for Katrina.
It is now being reported that Katrina, who has been on the lookout for meatier roles, apparently liked the script, and if all goes well, she might give a nod to the project.
The yet untitled film is reportedly based on a Japanese bestselling novel titled The Devotion Of Suspect X by author Keigo Higashino. Katrina (hopefully) will be seen playing the role of a single mother who accidently kills her own husband. Katrina will next be seen in action-comedy Bang Bang opposite Hrithik Roshan, which releases October 2.
