PDP leader tours flood affected areas, distributes relief material | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 13: PDP President Rural and candidate from Marh Assembly Constituency Suram Singh Chib today said that helping flood-hit people is their duty not a favour, while while addressing the flood-affected people during visit to flood-hit areas of Marh Block. He also distributed relief goods among the flood-hit people. On this occasion, he was accompanied by party leaders include Marh Block President Vikram Singh, Sr leader Jagjeet Singh Jagga, Vice -President Youth Wing RajinderManhas and many others. Suram said that this was a difficult time for the flood-hit people, "We will reach out wherever anyone is suffering and shall stand with you till complete restoration". After conducting a thorough visit to flood-hit areas of Marh Block, Suram said that many houses, Nallahs and crops have been damaged partially or completely and people are affected badly. "I have strongly demanded to serve them relief packages as early as possible and urged the State Government to circulate the relief to these victims," said Suram. On the occasion he distributed 1000 bags of Atta as relief between the flood affected people of Marh Block and assured them that he will talk to the concerned authorities to provide them the relief as soon as possible. While hitting -out at present coalition government, he said the good governance of the rulers had been exposed as they had failed in protecting life and property of the people. "They undertake aerial visits in helicopters surrounded by police and are afraid of facing the people", he added. Suram said PDP was committed to set up a new system of justice and equality so that every individual and region and sub-region of the State would get equal opportunity of growth and development. |
