Grameen Bank holds Financial Literacy Camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 13: Continuing its drive for upliftment of the rural masses and to brief people about Prime Ministers Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), J&K Grameen Bank organized an Awareness-cum-Financial Literacy Camp at village Sorore, tehsil Bishnah, Jammu. Ram Murti Sharma, chief coordinator, Mahesh Farmers Club who was the chief guest on the occasion inaugurated the Awareness Programme on financial inclusion in an impressive function. Branch Head, Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank, Sarore, Ram Pal Sharma presided over the function. A large number of people including farmers and youngsters of Sarore and its adjoining villages attended the camp. Speaking on the occasion, Branch Head, Ram Pal Sharma highlighted the salient features of PMJDY for finical empowerment of uncovered families. He also briefed about the initiatives taken by the bank for credit outflow in diversified activities for the purpose of setting up economic units for augmenting the income of the families and in turn overall development of the rural people through institutional credit. Mukesh Sagotra, Assistant Manager also highlighted the policies and programmes of the Bank for facilitating Financial Inclusion Programme. |
