JKNPP urges for immediate rescue of dead bodies

Jammu, Sept 13: Jammu and Kashhmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) General Secretary and In Charge Rajouri District Anita Thakur has urged the Governor, Army and civil authorities to rush special rescue teams to Nowshera and other adjoining remote areas badly affected by the rains.
In an appeal to the Army and civil authorities JKNPP leader Anita Thakur demanded that concerted efforts should be made to fish out the remaining dead bodies numbering about 20 that might have washed down to POK.
She also asked the Divisional authorities to provide tents, medicines, blankets, and warm clothes to ailing old and children. She said that the affected people are without utensils, and cooking systems including kerosene stoves.
She further urged the authorities to ensure supply of ration, sugar and other cereals, masala etc.
Anita Thakur expressed deep shock over the loss of lives in Sandal/Pancheri villages in Udhampur district, whose bodies got mutilated under the debris of collapsed houses in the area.
