Calliope school holds investiture ceremony

Jammu, Sept 13: In order to encourage leadership qualities, self reliance, mutual respect, cooperation and dedication amongst the students, The Calliope School, Doomi organized investiture ceremony for the session 2014-15 in its School premises, here today.
On the occasion, the appointment of the Head Boy, vice Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Girl, House Captains and Vice House Captains for the four Houses namely Maharaja Gulab Singh, Maharaja Pratap Singh, Maharaja Ranbir Singh and Maharaja Hari Singh was solemnized.
The office bearers to the council were elected by a vote of confidence of the fellow students and teachers of the School. The Principal of the School, Watsalaya Swami, who was the chief guest on the occasion, conferred the badges and sashes to the appointees.
Sumit Manhas and Rishav Singh were honoured with the Badges and Sashes of Head Boy and Vice Head Boy respectively, while Rekha Chib and Rajay Charak were honoured with the Badges and Sashes of Head Girl and Vice Head Girl respectively.
Anjali Choudhary and Mehak Chib were appointed as House Captain and Vice House Captain respectively of Maharaja Gulab Singh House while Ayush Manhas and Nishay Khetwal were appointed as House Captain and Vice House Captain respectively of Maharaja Partap Singh House.
Chandan Tagotra and Priyanka Sharma were appointed as House Captain and Vice House Captain respectively of Maharaja Ranbir Singh House whereas Niyati Sambyal and Abhishek Manhas were appointed as House Captain and Vice House Captain respectively of Maharaja Hari Singh House.
The members of the council were administered the oath with a pledge to work with dedication and humbleness to achieve excellence.
Meanwhile, Mayank Sharma was appointed Monitor of Class 2nd.
Principal Watsalaya Swami, House Incharge Preety Kohli, Renu Tagotra, Suman and Deepika congratulated the students on taking up the distinctive challenge to lead the fellow students.
In her address, School Principal encouraged the students to take part in the curricular and co-curricular activities with full zeal and dedication and also encouraged for developing sportsmanship, discipline and integrity, besides their routine studies.
The programme concluded with National Anthem.
