Poonch, Sept 13 : Eleven members of two families were injured in a cylinder explosion that took place in bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"Members of two families including women and children were injured late last night when a cylinder exploded in village Behra of Tehsil Mendhar in Poonch district," a police spokesperson here said. He said the explosion was so powerful that it created panic in the area, adding, "Local people and police on receiving information about the incident immediately rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation." The injured were shifted to the district hospital from where they were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.
The injured were identified as Shoukat Ali, Liaqat Ali, Nargis, Shabnam, Irfan, Mohammad Arif, Mohammad Basharat Ali, Rehmat Bi, Zahida, Parvez Akhitar and Nizma. |
