KMS visits flood affected Rajouri-Poonch districts | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 13: Kelley Memorial Society (KMS) visited flash-flood affected districts Rajouri-Poonch districts for flood relief. According to press release, there are hundreds of people who are living in rescue camps in these areas. These are the people that have been rescued by local administration or Indian Army. They are staying in camps in very hard conditions. They have lost everything whatever they had in these floods. They are struggling with food and shelter right now. KMS has distributed rations, tarpals, blankets, and water filters in these areas. "Our main focus right now is to provide instant relief in those areas where people are struggling with the basic needs of living which are food, clothes and shelter", activists of KMS said, adding that during their visit they have helped more than 150 families with their basic needs. "We have visited many villages too just to evaluate the situations in those villages so that we can continue our trips in those areas till the situations get under control", they added. |
