JAMMU, Sept 13: To take stock of the situation of flood affected areas of Samba and Jammu districts, the Congress MLA and president Mahila Congress Indu Pawar today undertook an extensive tour of the places hit by flood waters. Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said heavy rainfall and unprecedented floods in Khads and Nallahs in Samba have caused large scale damage to lands by erosion, standing crops and collapse of houses in Rural area Rural population is worst affected. She was accompanied by Champa Devi, Ratno Devi, Parsino Devi, Shobha Devi, Neelam Devi, Sushma Devi and Sanju Devi she visited Bandrali, Songli, Khairi, Katli, Bardan, Dudui, Daboh and Nud in District Samba and met the people. She assured people that Government shall take care of everyone who has suffered and requested the villagers to corporate with the administrative teams for assessment of damage and distribution of relief. She also appealed administration to expedite distribution of relief material to the affected people. |
