Jammu, Sept 15: Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Mula Ram asked big houses of the state to donate liberally for flood victims. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were facing tremendous hardships due to massive damage of moveable and immoveable property and the government infrastructure, besides loss of precious lives in the recent devastating rains and floods. He further said that half of the Kashmir Valley submerged in water and many people were still struggling to survive, In Jammu region- there was huge damage of crops, house and cattle due to flood in Tawi river and Chenab river, besides loss of many precious lives in the hilly terrain of Udhampur, Reasi, Poonch and Rajouri Districts. He was speaking in public meetings at Village Patta Barn and Malpur while on tour of raipur Domana Constituency. He was accompanied by Organizing Secretary JKPCC Hari Singh Chib and President BCC Bhalwal Talanter Singh. The prominent among those attended the meeting included Budhi Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Ramesh Singh, Bhabishan Singh, Rattan Lal, Madan Lal, Raj Kumar, Amar Nath, Joginder Pal, Neelam Kumar and others. |
