Plus-2 Lecturers seek redressal of their demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 15: All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers' Forum has sought immediate redressal of their demands. According to press release, a meeting of all J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum was held in its central office at Jammu under the chairmanship of its President N.S. Jamwal in which threadbare discussion and deliberation was about the havoc caused by flood victims in whole State. N.S. Jamwal appealed the members of the plus 2 cadre to contribute generously through concerned Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, DIETs and SIE to donate flood victim relief fund. Among other issues discussed was the adjustment of Lecturers repatriated from Ladakh for more than four months. Jamwal strongly stressed upon the DSE Jammu and Commissioner Secretary Education that all the lecturers from the Ladakh and DPC lecturers deployed at DSE Jammu should be adjusted in the institutions at an earliest, so that the study of students do not suffer further more. Whereas, these lecturers have been without salaries for the last four months as both winter and summer session schools are badly suffering due the shortage of staff which is the cause of worries for the future of the nation. Jamwal asked how the government expected good results in future in short of huge staff in the various schools. The Forum also stressed that those who are serving in the far-flung areas have completed their tenure should also be transferred near to the home localities.
