10 year kid killed for ransom ;Court grants bail to 2 accused, refers case to Juvenile Court | | | Jammu, Oct 10 : In the much publicized case of kidnapping & murder for ransom of 10- year- old Shalin Gupta, State High Court set-aside the order of Trial Court regarding dismissal of bail application of Gagandeep Singh and Darvinder Pal Singh, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu RS Jain today granted bail to Gagan Deep Singh and Ravinder Pal Singh who are declared as Juvenile under J&K Juvenile Justice (care and Protection of Children) Act 2013. While granting bail to Gagan Deep Singh and Ravinder Pal Singh, Principal Sessions Judge directed that they be released on bail to their furnishing personal bond to the tune of Rs 50,000 together with surety of like amount. Court further observed that it may mentioned that at the time of occurrence Gagan Deep Singh was 16 years and 4 months and accused Ravinder Pal Singh was 17 years and 2 months as such both the accused have attained the age of majority, since both the accused have been declared to be juvenile, as such they are to be tried by the Juvenile Court, and transferred the case to the Court of CJM Jammu.
