Rajouri , Oct 10 : A dispute over money led to a scuffle between two friends at Dhangri near here, following which one of them stabbed the other inflicting serious injuries on him.
Police sources identified the victim as Pankaj Sharma, son of Baldev Raj of Dhangri, and the accused as Rajan Sharma, son of Chet Ram Sharma of Bal Jaralan. The two friends clashed over Rs 4,000. Rajan claimed that Pankaj owed this money to him, the sources added. When Rajan today went to Pankaj's house and demanded money, there was a scuffle between them. In the evening, Rajan again went to his house and stabbed him with a sharp edged weapon. Rajan's mother, who tried to pacify him, also sustained an injury in the hand. He later fled the spot. Pankaj was rushed to the district hospital here and later referred to an Amritsar hospital. Rajan was later arrested and booked under sections 307, 323 and 452 of RPC and 4/25 of arms act. |
