Jammu, Oct 10: Like past years, KC Public School celebrated Book Week from today and a variety of activities were chosen for the theme, 'Connect to Reading'. Students irrespective to their age groups enthusiastically participated in the event. According to school spokesperson, each class was involved in variety of activities. "Various activities like story- telling, enactment character dress, vocabulary challenge, cover page and book mark designing and quiz on books and authors were held under categories for the students of different classes, the statement stated. It added, "The creativity of students was given a nudge in creative writing completion. Composing Haiku poems with illustration and converting them into songs became all-time favourite." Statement also added that Class 1 and II students had great fun as their teachers enacted the fairy tale of Cinderella and a puppet theatre on the story, 'Monkey and the Crocodile' while parents of children added extra dash of fun when they narrated stories to them. In the end, the Headmistress, Sofia Rana spoke about the importance of readings books as reading is a gift which opens myriad hopes, dreams and possibilities to stimulate mesmerizing magic. |
