Jammu, Jan 22: Crime Branch, Jammu today produced challan against two cheats for preparing fake/fabricated documents of vehicles. According to Crime Branch spokesperson the duo has been identified namely as Rajinder Singh alias Guddu S/o Deva Singh R/o 89 Rani Talab Digiana, Jammu and Surinder Pal Singh S/o Dharam Singh R/o 53/1 Ajit Nagar, Jammu. "A Case FIR No. 11/2005 u/ss' 420, 467, 468, 471, 201, 120-B RPC P/S Crime Branch, Jammu was registered on the directions of Presiding Officer MACT (District Judge) Rajouri against the above mentioned duo for preparing fake documents i.e. Route Permit, Registration Certificate, Fitness Certificate and fake (GR) receipts of vehicle bearing Registration No.JK02A-4411," the spokesperson said. He added that the said order was passed by the Court responding to a petition titled Mohd Iqbal and others V/s Bachan Singh and others of Tribunal involving Truck bearing Registration No.JK02A-4411, the insurer, Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. produced a certificate issued to its investigator by Regional Transport Officer, Jammu showing that the vehicle bearing Registration No.JK02A-4411 is a motorcycle Yamaha and not a truck." After registering a case, the Crime Branch Jammu took cognizance in this regard and during the course of investigation, it was found that accused persons in connivance with each other hatched a criminal conspiracy and prepared fake documents i.e. Route Permit, Registration Certificate, Fitness Certificate and fake (GR) receipts of vehicle bearing Registration No.JK02A-4411 fraudulently and sold the same vehicle to different persons on these fake documents."After establishing the offences u/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 201, 120-B RPC against the accused persons the chargesheet was presented before the court of CJM, Jammu, spokesperson said. |
