HC declines to stay proceedings in much publcized 'Chopra Murder case'

Jammu, Jan 22 (JNF): Vacation Judge of J&K High Court Jammu Wing Justice Hasnain Massodi today declined to stay in much publicized Chopra Murder case and issued notice to respondents. Today when the matter was listed, Advocate Pranav Kohli appearing for the Puneet Chopra sought setting-aside the order of Trial Court and also seeking direction for immediate arrest/detention of the respondents.
Justice Hasnain Massodi after hearing issued notice to respondents in the meanwhile Adv Ashwani Khajuria appearing on behalf of respondent was available, directed him to file objections if any. This significant order came in regard to a 'criminal revision' plea filed by Puneet Chopra son of deceased RB Chopra against the order of Trial Court whereby Trial Court had been granted bail to seven alleged accused.
