SAMBA, Jan 22 : District Information Centre, Samba organized a multilingual Mushiara in the village Gho Brahmna of dist Samba today in which 9 poets participated in this Mushaira and read their poems related to culture, unity, language, secularism, religious etc. Many prominent and budding poets of the district including Sat Paul, Ajit Pal Sharma, Ravi Dutta, Naresh Kumar, Sita Ram Sapolia, Mohn Singh Salathia, Bishan Singh Dardi, Bishan Dass Sharma, Usha Rani, Among others present on the occasion were Sarpanch Sarpanch , Ram Paul Sharma Samba was chief guest on the occasion. District Information Officer Samba, Vikas Anand informed that the main aim of organizing this function by Information department is to provide the stage to local poets and to promote the local language in society. He further added that the interaction of young poets with established poets of the district would go a long way in shaping the literary talent. The honorarium and certificates to the poets were also given by the Information Dept Samba. Sarpanch Ram Paul also appreciate this step taken by Information Department for promoting the mother language and appreciated the efforts of Information department samba and district information officer Vikas Anand for organizing Mushaira and said that such programmes should also be organized in near future so that people in general and literary personalities of the district particular may participate in such programmes. The poets of the district also presented their poetry with great perfection which also got appreciation by the audience present on the occasion. Among others Balbir Singh Culture Assistant Samba, Prominent citizens Des Raj , Darshan Kumari etc were also present on the ocassion. |
